Morning, October 2 to Evening October 7, 2266, and ED year 1, days 233-250.

Alex spent the next several days in reality continuing his normal routine. The only difference was that he had made it clear to everyone beforehand that he would not be leaving his apartment outside of the morning run. Meals had gone from one of them logging out early to prep and cook, to delivery as the focus was completely on the expedition. The only exception was when his and Sam’s parents came over for dinner Saturday and Sunday and brought home cooked meals with them. Nicole and Sam could only smile as they saw exactly what Alex had warned them about how he would get from time to time, play out. If they did not live with him, they would not even be able to spend time with him. Alex was also laser focused on Abysses End’s scheduled visit that would start on Monday the 8th as he would need to have his team ready to take down the level 60 area boss before then. Once Nantan arrived Alex expected things to become more hectic and he would have to spend some extra time outside of ED. Alex had gotten more than a few messages confirming things for the upcoming week. Alex finally received a list of the members Nantan was bringing with him as well. They were Ava and Mia Quinn, Thomas Clark and Larry Peters, all of whom were 18 years old and part of their young talent program. None of those names meant anything to Alex which told him that none of them had made a name for themselves outside ED, at least in his last life. Perhaps once he learned their player names he might be able to better place them, though he did have a few suspicions about Ava and Mia as he did know of a few notable twins who played for Abysses End in his last life.

In ED Xeal spent his days leading and guiding the expedition towards Autumndale. The first few days they focused on building team cohesion as they marched. This took the form of them fighting in formation battles where everyone would form up ranks with tanks in the front, magic in the middle and utility in the back as a rear guard, while scouts and kiting builds would step in to cover for a tank as needed. As well as scatter battles where everyone would break down to teams of four to engage multiple foes at once, there were also several hybrid scenarios practiced where part of the team would stay together as others broke off into small teams. Once Xeal felt confident in the abilities of the expedition members to work well together, he started to put them under pressure, constantly putting them in situations where they had to work together and switch between formations against large groups of enemies of higher levels than themselves.
